CALL FOR 3 TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITIONS Center for Integrative Biology, Universidad Mayor
Faculty position: Assistant, Associate or Full Professor.
Location: Center for Integrative Biology, Campus Huechuraba, Santiago, Chile.

Starting date: From July 2022 to December 2023
The Center for Integrative Biology (CIB) at Universidad Mayor in Santiago, Chile, invites researchers to apply for open rank faculty positions in areas associated to aging, geroscience, age-related conditions and nervous system diseases. The areas include but are not limited to neuroimmunology, age-related pathologies, chronic inflammation, cellular senescence, stem cell regulation and electrophysiology, using cellular and animal models, including mouse, zebrafish, Drosophila or other model systems.
The CIB is located in Santiago, Chile, and currently hosts 10 principal investigators working in varied research topics includes brain aging, neurodegenerative conditions, cancer, microbiome, neurodevelopment. The Center is equipped with state of the art facilities for animal models (mouse, zebrafish and Drosophila), microscopy (confocal, light sheet microscopy), cell culture and general equipment for life sciences, in an open access laboratory model, includingall facilities and equipment.
The successful candidates are expected to conduct original research, publish in peer reviewed journals, support international research cooperation, and pursue different sources of research funding. Besides, the Assistant/Associate/Full Professor will be expected to teach in an undergraduate or graduate program, give conference talks, and serve as adviser for graduate students.
Applicants should have a PhD and Postdoctoral experience. The applicant should show capacity to carry out an independent research program and obtain competitive extramural funding. Teaching and mentoring experience at undergraduate and/or graduate level is desirable.
